Jordan Burton is the founder of Burton Advisors LLC, serving a select group of high-growth companies and VC/PE firms to help them identify, attract, hire, develop and retain top talent at all levels. His services include executive assessment, 360 feedback, coaching, management team due diligence and hiring/interview training.

Prior to launching Burton Advisors, Jordan was a Partner at ghSMART & Company, a boutique talent and leadership advisory firm. In his 6+ years with the firm, Jordan served corporate and VC/PE clients in the areas of executive assessment, training, coaching and organizational effectiveness. In addition to his consulting responsibilities, he led the firm’s internal recruiting efforts. He has worked across multiple industries, geographies and company sizes, with a strong focus on the technology sector.

Prior to joining ghSMART in 2007, Jordan was a top-rated Case Team Leader in Bain & Company's San Francisco office, where he focused primarily on private equity and technology engagements over his 5-year tenure with the firm. He worked with a high-performing US private equity fund, conducting due diligence on several of its largest investments in technology and enterprise software. He served corporate clients in media, financial services, retail, professional services semiconductor and software industries. Prior to Bain, he served as Director of Strategy and Business Development for a high-growth enterprise software company, managing the company’s strategic partnerships and leading critical pricing and product development initiatives.

Jordan holds an MBA with honors from the Harvard Business School and BA degrees with honors in Philosophy and Economics from Duke University.  He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
